MEMBERSHIP AT ROCKY MOUNTAIN ROOSTERS

The most popular way to pheasant hunt in Colorado is by joining Rocky Mountain Roosters.  As a member you are allowed to use the facility year round and bring guests, friends, family and clients and they pay the same rate as the member for the day hunts.

Brett Axton - RMR OwnerYou can hunt seven days a week at Rocky Mountain Roosters, and have a choice of two 3 hour hunts. You can hunt the morning from 8 am to 11 am, or the afternoon from 1 pm to 4 pm. Each time you make reservations to hunt, you can shoot a minimum of five birds, either sex, any of the species. Special chukar or quail only hunts are available, too.

Rocky Mountain Roosters is the best place for hunters who have their own dogs to hunt pheasants in Colorado.  For the hunters with their own dogs, this is the ideal place to run your dogs with the opportunity to get into a lot of birds.  For hunters that don’t have their own dogs, an experienced guide and dogs will be provided for an additional cost of only $60 for 1 to 4 hunters.  We do not allow groups larger than four guns so that we can ensure a safe hunt and to give hunters a better opportunity for more shooting.  If you have more than 4 hunters we will split you into two or more groups.

You don’t need a license and there is no limit, but you will be charged for the birds you kill after the first five birds. Dressed, vacuum sealed, frozen birds are available for exchange after the hunt is over, for a small charge. A membership includes the first four complete hunts.  (A hunt is a ‘man day’, or per gun and includes 5 birds)  After the four hunts, the daily cost is $160 per gun. Members can bring guests and they pay the same daily cost as members. A single membership is only $1100.

Colorado Pheasant hunting at Rocky Mountain Roosters is by far the best upland bird hunting you can find in Colorado and our 5000 acre facility is only 30 miles east of Colorado Springs and about an hour south east of Denver.  Not only do you save thousands of dollars in fuel and time, but you can hunt more than 6 months a year!

All hunts are by reservation only.

HUNT FOR A DAY

Bill Lieb - Club ManagerIf a membership isn’t right for you, Colorado Pheasant Hunting at its best can be yours with an Introductory Hunt at Rocky Mountain Roosters.  This pheasant hunt is our hunt for a day, and it does not require a membership.  These hunts are available 7 days a week during our season.  The cost is $280 per gun.  Each hunter can shoot 5 birds, either sex …Pheasant or Chukar.  Non-members are allowed to hunt one time a year without joining or without being with a member.

Pheasant hunting in Colorado is spotty at best in the farming areas of our fine state, but when you come to Rocky Mountain Roosters you might think you are pheasant hunting in Kansas or South Dakota…without the drive!

For the hunters with their own dogs, this is the ideal place to run your dogs with the opportunity to get into a lot of birds.  You do not have to have a RMR guide with you, but we don’t allow hunts without dogs.  Pheasant hunting, Chukar and Quail hunting are all part of the upland game that you will see at RMR.

Hunts start at 8am and run until 11am, and again at 1pm until 4pm.  Pick the time that is best for you and give us a call to schedule a reservation.  All hunts are by reservation only.
719-635-3257  We have a 48 hour cancellation policy (to cancel reservations without being charged for the hunt)

We serve lunch at the clubhouse on weekends from 11am-1pm.

Even though you will be pheasant hunting in Colorado, you do not need a license.  You can hunt Pheasants, Chukar and Quail at Rocky Mountain Roosters without a license or a hunter safety card during our seasons and only on RMR property.  We generally start the middle of September and hunt through March and into April, weather dependent.
